Logging In
To launch Allods Online open the launch through the Start Menu. The launcher will check for available game updates. Once the game is fully updated, click Play. Enter your gPotato login information and confirm by clicking the large checkmark below the login fields. If you have entered your information correctly you will then be prompted to select a server. For Closed Beta Test #1 there is only one server so it will be selected by default. Click Accept. You are now ready to select a side to play on!
Select a Side
Once you have successfully logged in and confirmed the server selection, you will then need to select a side to create a character on. You may choose between League, on the right, and Empire, on the left. League is home to the Kanians, Elves, and Gibberlings, while Empire is home to the Xadaganians, Orcs, and Arisen. Please note that once you select a side with your account you may only create characters on that side. You may not have League and Empire characters on the same account.
Character Creation
Once you have chosen a side, you may now create your character. Select your race, class, and gender. You may also customize your character’s look with different hairstyles, colors, facial structures, and even skintones. Once your character looks the way you would like it, name your character, then click Create. Please note that for the Gibberlings you will need to name all three characters before you can confirm and enter the game.
Beginning Instance
Both the League and Empire have a beginning instance that you must play through before entering the game. This beginning instance is designed to introduce you to the Allods Online story, as well as teach you the basic game controls. You may not skip this instance, and if you log out before completing the instance, your character will lose any levels gained while in the instance.
Starting Areas
League – Once you have completed the League beginning instance your character will be teleported to Evermeet Isle. Speak to Selena de Ardeur, an Elven Poet. She will get you started on your adventure in Sarnaut as a member of the League. You should remain on Evermeet Isle until level 6, after which you should head to Lightwood and eventually towards Novograd.
Empire – Once you have completed the beginning instance as a member of the Empire, your character will be in Sewer, a set of underground tunnels and sewers below the main Empire city of Nezebgrad. Speak to Igor Nochkin, Overseer of the Experimental Portal. He will send you on a number of tasks and your journey through Sarnaut as a member of the Empire will officially begin. Once you have completed all the quests in Sewer you will then venture to the surface of Nezebgrad where your journey will continue.

You may access the Quest Log by clicking the Quest icon in the lower right-hand corner, or by pressing L on your keyboard. Quest progress is also tracked on the main screen, on the right-hand side. Quests appear as grey when in progress and white when completed. The World Map also shows the locations where quest items, NPCs, and mobs can be found. To bring up the map, click the Map icon or press M.
Leveling
Allods Online is a quest and story driven game. To level efficiently and successfully it is recommended that you party with your fellow players and complete all quests in a given area before moving onto the next zone. Partying with other players allows you to quickly gain XP by downing mobs with ease and rapidly finishing quests. It is also important to remember that as you level your character will become tired, preventing them from gaining maximum XP. Tiredness is identified as blue in your XP bar. To reset your tiredness and gain maximum XP, visit a Goblin Innkeeper on a regular basis.
