Two types of horses can be obtained in Allods Online: temporary and permanent. Temporary horse can be acquired by taking quest from capital city guide. 12 level is required to take the quest. The guide will send you to Horse master to deliver some stuff to another location without using portals. The Horse master will give you scroll to summon horse. No matter when you complete the quest the horse will be with you for 1 hour before it’ll disappear.

Permanent horse is another matter. Simple way to get it is to buy from the cash shop. You like hard ways? You’ve just received your brand new bag from “Nothing for free quest” and want more challenge? Well, the devs thought about you and made free horse quest chain.

Both League and Empire quest chains are for 21-22 level characters. Do them to ride away from Holy land gankers ;) Empire first quest is taken near the Old square, League one – inside main Novograd tower. For both sides of global conflict you’ll need three recommendations from different NPCs. The quests they’ll ask you to do for those recommendations are very simular to reputation quests so I won’t describe them in detail for now. The only exception is one of the League quests which require you to go to Tenebra Dark Citadel to get quest item. When you finish three quests you’ll recieve fourth one which is done in instances. Empire players have to gather three artifacts inside Lab 13: two of them drop from bosses, the third one is in the chest near last boss.League players have to visit Darkwater Castle and help the elf to finish ritual then talk to him and ask for blessing.

That’s all – the horse is now yours.

I decided to summarize my AO gaming experience for those people who just started or are thinking about starting playing Allods. They may seem obvious to experienced players but I hope that newcomers will find them useful for quick and comfortable levelling in beautiful but dangerous world of Sarnaut.

1. Stats are important. When a dead mob or questgiver NPC gives you new piece of gear that you can equip check its stat bonuses very carefully to decide whether it worth equiping. Allods Online is very stat-dependant game and ‘good stats’ means ‘balanced stats’ here, not ’super high one stat’ or ‘max possible sum of stats’. E.g. if you are playing melee damager and already have high Strength but low Expertise then +15 Expertise bonus may be better than +20 Strength bonus for you. It doesn’t matter how hard you can hit if you miss all the time, right? ;)

unes can be found in high-quality items (green-quality and higher) and extracted from them. As far as I know it’s the only source of Runes in the game. Extracted Runes can be traded, combined and put into chars’ gear and chests. After completing lvl 15 quest all Runes of the specific type (you will be told after completing this quest which type is yours) give damage bonuses if put into weapons and defence bonuses if put into armor. That’s simple. But the Chests… Putting Runes in the Chests is another matter. In that case Runes raise probability that the chest will contain specific type of item.
